About Wendy Elzner

Hi, I’m Wendy Elzner, I moved to Barrie in 1978 when it was a small city of only about 45,000 we are now at 150,000 and growing every day. Many people drive by Barrie on their way north, but never truly see what we have to offer. We sit on the shores of Kempenfelt Bay in Lake Simcoe which was formed by glacial meltwater and is southern Ontario's largest interior lake at 48 km long and 29 km wide. The Barrie waterfront is truly a hidden gem with beautiful beaches, parkland, boardwalks, playgrounds, walking paths and home to a multitude of festivals all year long. But enough about why I still live here! After moving to Barrie 40 years ago, I spent 4 years in the City and then moved to Oro/Medonte from 1982-1987, then we built a home in 1987 in Springwater and was there until 2004. I have been back living in the City of Barrie since 2004. I have 3 children, who are now grown and married, Ryan and his wife Julie and their 2 children Miles and Finn, Justin, Amber and her husband Scott and their sons Lincoln and Vincent and their daughter Holly, my partner Elmer also has 2 children Matt and his wife Stephanie and 3-year-old Aubrey and Kim and her husband Frank and 3-year-old Jakob, As you can see I am very blessed with a great extended family and lots of grandchildren close by, I also have my Mom who is 97 and moved to Barrie and is enjoying a wonderful lifestyle at the Waterford Retirement Residence. I became a Realtor® in 1997 so that I could help other families move to this wonderful area. I have built my business on a repeat and referral model by giving my clients personal service and always available to personally answer their calls. When I am not working full time in Real Estate, I love spending time with our family, traveling and we recently purchased a 31’ trailer and go camping with the kids. We’ll maybe it’s more like clamping, were not exactly roughing it. Do you have a Bucket List? I would like to share with you what’s on My Bucket List. You may think I’m crazy my spouse sure does: I have always wanted to try sky diving, go on a River Cruise in Europe, and travel as much of the world as I can. PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS: I have served on the Barrie & District Association of REALTORS® for 17 years from 2001 – 2019 I was the sitting PRESIDENT, 2006, 2009, 2013, and traveled from coast to coast to National, Provincial and Local Real Estate conferences dealing with industry issues.  I have sat on many committees such as Chair of MLS®, Finance and Executive committee, as well as various Task Fcrces. I currently am a 2022 Board of Director,  BDAR Champion Task Force Master. I have an  Accredited Senior Agent Designation.
